“a magnificent word-weaver”

Gina is a magnificent word-weaver. She fashions words together into a powerful, meaningful, and inspiring tapestry that touches the Filipino audience right where it matters – the mind, heart, and soul.

She is a prolific writer and can write eloquently in both English and Filipino/Tagalog, in compositions as lengthy as a procession or as short as a song. Gina’s imagination is rich and her vocabulary bountiful. She always injects a fresh perspective into her writing. The call to action may be short and succinct, but it always stirs, moves, and rouses people into worthwhile and long-term achievements.

In the three years that Gina has served me, she has exhibited the highest standards of professionalism, excellence, and integrity. Without a doubt, Gina has been an enormous asset to my Office.

GEN NOEL S CLEMENT AFP
52nd Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines

“like a beacon of light”

Gina is a passionate advocate for the Filipino soldier. We invited her to speak to our top military leaders and she gladly changed her travel plans to accommodate us.  Crisis management and crisis communications, together with excellent media relations, are critical to the success of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). These are Gina’s topics of expertise. Now more than ever when we are battling for the hearts of our people, it is important that our leaders are able to effectively communicate the messages behind our programs, actions, and activities. Gina is like a beacon of light in these highly specialized fields and the AFP is fortunate to have her pushing for our cause.

“a magnetic presence on stage”

Gina is a magnetic presence on stage because she does not only speak well, but she also knows her subject matter as only an expert does – from all corners and sides, upside down, and from top to bottom. She commands respect even in a roomful of military officers because she expresses her views in a brave manner, minces no words, and is not intimidated by title or rank. Her confidence comes from her exceptional grasp of the field of crisis communications.

Gina’s caliber becomes even more apparent the moment she holds the microphone to answer questions. If you get to watch and listen to Gina, you will immediately know that she is not speaking from theories alone but from a rich and diverse background that not many can lay claim to.

Over and above her intelligence and eloquence, Gina loves and respects our soldiers and expresses these feelings exuberantly and passionately. She visited and conducted a lecture at the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) when I was its Commanding General. My personnel and I learned a lot from her but what we will remember the most was how she went the extra mile to make our soldiers feel appreciated and recognized. She is inspiring both as a speaker and as a person.

Gina is welcomed at the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) by its former Commanding General,
LTGEN RAMIRO MANUEL A REY, Philippine Army (RET), Armed Forces of the Philippines.

NGP Marketing Communications

“a master communicator”

“Gina is a master communicator. The top clients we invited to our workshop were all deeply engaged. They appreciated Gina’s level of expertise on crisis communications and said her rich real-life experiences make her truly credible.

Let us remember that Gina was a former broadcast journalist and also a PR executive. This combination is an edge in this highly specialized field. Many can talk about theories, but they were never in the so-called trenches of the corporate world. Gina lived and breathed corporate PR. Meanwhile, others may just talk about PR, but they were never on the media side. So, they may not be aware of the unique expectations of media. Gina was a newscaster, news writer and public affairs host. She has thus been in both worlds.

We at NGP are proud to be connected with Gina. She is the best subject matter expert right now on crisis communications.”

“a speaker on high voltage”

“Gina is a speaker on high voltage.  She is immensely powerful and yet captivating. Acutely knowledgeable and yet humble. Extraordinarily confident and yet accessible.

It was our CEO who got Gina for a workshop on Public Speaking and Presentation Skills for our top executives. We were all impressed not only by her level of expertise but also by her very engaging style. You would leave the session not with plenty of empty information but with actionable real-life applications that you can immediately put to use.

Further, Gina made us discover ourselves and one another more deeply that we felt a greater sense of solidarity and unity afterwards. I would consider our two-day session with her as one of the more unforgettable ones we have had. Any company worth its salt should get Gina and be enriched for it.”

“a strong commitment”

I had the privilege to meet Ms. Gina dela Vega-Cruz when I was the Chief Operating Officer of the Institute of Corporate Directors. She demonstrates a strong commitment to the advocacy of good corporate governance in several ways, one of which was coming up with a training session as soon as she became a member of ICD. This particular design guides companies at board level as well as operational level in dealing with the aftermath of a corporate crisis.

This session as well as her other sessions are not just theories but experience-based practices that have proven themselves effective time and again. Open-minded and collaborative, Gina’s training programs are as flexible as she is in adapting to numerous situations encountered by companies in various industries.

Have you heard Gina speak? Or has Gina coached you? Or maybe, Gina has conducted a training in your organization?
