“a magnetic presence on stage”
Gina is a magnetic presence on stage because she does not only speak well, but she also knows her subject matter as only an expert does – from all corners and sides, upside down, and from top to bottom. She commands respect even in a roomful of military officers because she expresses her views in a brave manner, minces no words, and is not intimidated by title or rank. Her confidence comes from her exceptional grasp of the field of crisis communications.
Gina’s caliber becomes even more apparent the moment she holds the microphone to answer questions. If you get to watch and listen to Gina, you will immediately know that she is not speaking from theories alone but from a rich and diverse background that not many can lay claim to.
Over and above her intelligence and eloquence, Gina loves and respects our soldiers and expresses these feelings exuberantly and passionately. She visited and conducted a lecture at the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) when I was its Commanding General. My personnel and I learned a lot from her but what we will remember the most was how she went the extra mile to make our soldiers feel appreciated and recognized. She is inspiring both as a speaker and as a person.
